In this newsletter:
I know what you’re going to say. Your dog is the cutest dog in the world. Fine, but Ritter is the cutest dog who listens to audiobooks. He listens to relax (he’s an expert at relaxing), and loves the Virtue Falls series. Of course, he insists on telling people he’s my ghost writer… Listen free or download the first chapter of THE WOMAN WHO COULDN’T SCREAM. Military Press said, “The story is fast-paced and has high intensity with a variety of twists and turns. Readers will scream in delight!” (How cool is it that THE WOMAN WHO COULDN’T SCREAM has been reviewed in the Military Press?!?)
So many of you have been long-time readers of my books and letters, and we always welcome new friends joining us. No matter where we are and who we are, we have a few things in common: we love to read, and we love Ritter who was almost an assistance dog (more) and who lives to help and give affection. Ritter’s motto: Will work for pets and treats.
Free Read! WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN
It’s autumn at my home in Washington, the air is crisp, the leaves are turning, and it’s time for WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN! That’s right, WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN: the Darkness Chosen epilogue, is free to read on my website, and for you Darkness Chosen collectors, it’s available for purchase from Kindle, Nook, Kobo and iBooks.
Other short and spooky Christina Dodd stories: Treehouse Update! Good news! We managed to score furniture for the treehouse. (More treehouse info here.) Turns out when you go shopping for outdoor furniture in late September, you can buy $40 chairs for $8. Mind you, they are hideous. But…c’mon! $8!
LOVE NEVER DIES: A Virtue Falls short story
A murder committed. A love lost. A ghost haunted by his past.
Only one woman can right all the wrongs…
If she can survive the night…
Kindle, Nook, Kobo and iBooks

And…the shingles are on! The roof is finished! The treehouse is so close to done we can almost taste it. The only thing left is the railing on the steps, and…it has started raining. Which, you may have heard, it does in Western Washington. The official prediction is for rain until July. So The Husband is taking down the zipline (Christina weeps softly) and the climbing rope (not weeping, that thing is killing me,) and we bid a fond farewell to the treehouse until spring when we plan to install a dumb waiter (okay, a shelf on a rope) to lift appetizers, wine and books. Yes, we are having too much fun. I hope you are, too. Until next time, happy reading!
Information for Readers: Want to know the story of how and why I got started writing? It’s right here in my bio, including how many years and how many books I wrote before I was published. My favorite tidbit: I was a clue in the Los Angeles Times crossword puzzle (11/18/05, #13 Down: Romance Novelist named Christina). This thrilled my mother who was a huge crossword puzzle fan.
The man who wrote Hokey Pokey died. When they put him in the coffin, they put his left leg in…then the trouble started.
